Jeffery Straker - “Ready To Be Brave”

“Ready To Be Brave” is a narrative driven music video that tells the story of a farmer’s son, Michael, and his journey searching for love and acceptance. The film was co-written by Director, Dylan Hryciuk & Songwriter Jeffery Straker in hopes of creating a story with characters that rang true to Jeffery’s own life and experience. The project has amassed more than 50,000 views.

This film was the winner of “Best Music Video”and nominee for “Best Performance” (Kody Farrow), and “Best Technical Achievement” (Production Design) at the 2021 Saskatchewan Independent Film Awards. The film was also nominated for “Music Video of the Year” at the 2021 Saskatchewan Music Awards, and “Video of the Year” at the 33rd Annual Saskatchewan Country Music Awards.
